Artist Statement
My work begins with questions/ Why do we make certain choices? What shapes the paths we take? How do hope, struggle, and difficult experiences influence the way we see ourselves and others?
I use drawing and painting to find a way to consider these questions visually. My work looks beyond immediate appearances, using the human experience as a starting point for stories about identity, behavior, and the circumstances that shape us.
